A Russian client urged CeTeau to help them to install Wick Drains to a depth of 11,00 meters on a mining expansion project. The equipment that's used to blow air in the enormous underground Potash mines had to be constructed on very soft soil which needed to be stabilized faster than originally planned. With the help of Vertical Wick Drain the schedule could still be achieved. We installed Wicks drains under very harsh russian winter conditions, braving the cold with temperatures up to -30 degrees. Because the ground contained an obstructing layer of sand we installed a waterjetting system up to 400 bars running 24 hours a day to not cool down the equipment.
