Geofabrics

Geotextiles and geogrids have secured a valued and permanent place among construction materials in civil engineering by contributing to increased efficiency in all facets of construction.

The wide range of woven geotextile, non-woven geotextile, woven and coated geogrid as well as extruded geogrid products are used worldwide in the building industry, landscaping and civil engineering for erosion control, drainage, soil reinforcement, stabilization and consolidation and for special applications in waste containment.

Products

Nonwoven

Nonwoven geotextiles are high-tech, engineered fabrics made from synthetic fibers. Nonwoven Geotextiles are manufactured through a process of needle- punching that involves forcibly entangling layers of loose staple fibers into a three-dimensional structure.

Woven

Woven geotextiles are woven from durable, high-modulus synthetic yarns into competent, robust, dimensionally stable geotextiles. These geotextiles are available in varying tensile strengths and hydraulic properties to suit specific project demands.

Woven Geogrid

Woven Geogrids are flexible woven with high molecular weight and low-creep polyester (PET) yarns in a stable, interlocking grid, placed under tension and polymer coated to provide excellent resistance to chemical and biological degradation.

Extruded Geogrid

Extruded geogrids are made from PP by extrusion of sheet, punching and then stretching. The thick rectangular cross section ribs and integral joint structure give regular apertures that interlock with aggregates.

Nonwoven

Nonwoven geotextiles are high-tech, engineered fabrics made from synthetic fibers. Nonwoven Geotextiles are manufactured through a process of needle-punching that involves forcibly entangling layers of loose staple fibers into a three-dimensional structure. CeTeau Nonwoven Needle-punched Geotextiles are among the most versatile types of geotextiles. They are available in many weights, with heavier fabrics possessing superior strength. High elongation characteristics ensure survivability in demanding installations.

We offer Polypropylene (PP) as well as Polyester (PET) based materials from 100 up to 1.800 gram per square meter and with a width up to 7 meters.

Woven

Woven geotextiles are woven from durable, high-modulus synthetic yarns into competent, robust, dimensionally stable geotextiles. The high tenacity yarns are woven by an innovative weaving structure providing for integrated material, therewith meeting the requirements of strength, low elongation, filtration and separation.

These CeTeau woven geotextiles are available in varying tensile strengths and hydraulic properties to suit specific project demands.

Woven Geogrid

Woven Geogrids are flexible woven with high molecular weight and low-creep polyester (PET) yarns which provide a wide range of tensile strengths for different soil reinforcement applications. The ultimate tensile strength of the uniaxial geogrids can range from 20 kN/m to 1000 kN/m and those of biaxial woven geogrids from 20 kN/m to 250 kN/m. The geogrids are uniformly coated with protective non-toxic substances to enhance the overall resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet, weathering, acid, alkali, bio-decomposition, and other possible external conditions that may affect the product performance. The geogrids are highly stable and durable against UV light and weathering.

Extruded Geogrid

Extruded Geogrids improve the structural integrity of roads and railways, piling mats, working platforms, temporary roads, and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls and slopes by confining and distributing load forces. Extruded geogrids are manufactured by the extrusion of a flat sheet of plastic of Polypropylene (PP). The next step is the punching of a pattern of holes resulting in the formation of so-called apertures. To create tensile strength the material is stretched to both longitudinal and transverse direction.

Geogrids provide support for the construction of access roads, highways and applications on weak subgrades that previously required expensive over-excavating and replacing. Geogrids are also used for road and rail construction on stable subgrades to reduce aggregate thickness requirements and/or extend roadway performance life.

Biaxial geogrids can be combined with non-woven or woven geotextiles to form excellent geocomposites which provide unique solutions depending on the application.
